Wind offshore

Offshore windplant developpement

The offshore wind has for some years a very important development. The offshore wind farms have indeed significant power (several hundred MW) with high productivity and environmental impact limited. But the technological challenges related to the marine environment (aggressive atmosphere, difficult access) require solutions.

DDIS technology has many assets to meet the new challenges of wind offshore: low total head mass (thus lower loads on the foundations), no gearbox, modularity for easy maintenance ...

Simulations show that the mass at the top of the tower (THM: Total Head Mass.) is reduced to 35% compared to conventional technologies (direct-drive or not).
