The demonstration on May 4th bore fruit !

Thanks to their demonstrations against the new conditions of setting up of windmills, professionals of this sector and environmental associations have forced the French government to reconsider certain elements.

Indeed, an abolition amendment presented by Mr Ollier should prevent the drop in the minimum total power for the new establishments of wind farms.

However, it’s a big early to talk about success since the 5 towers per wind farm is still in place. This limitation was adopted to avoid the excessive proliferation of windmills and to get people used to these machines.

So what is the next sensitive step of this new regulation ? The classified installation regime to protect the environment is to be applied to windmills but according to professionals it is too restrictive.

It’s something we should keep an eye on...
